Established by the Wallis family, Minaret Station evolved from humble beginnings into a hallmark of luxury in New Zealand’s Southern Alps. In addition to the Alpine Lodge, Minaret Station also provides authentic experiences throughout New Zealand’s South Island including an extensive range of helicopter touring, hiking, backcountry fly fishing, guided hunting and heli skiing.

As well as being location to the Minaret Station Alpine Lodge, Minaret Station is a working high country farm, home to some 10,000 deer, 7,000 sheep and 1,000 cattle raised for supply to premium export and domestic markets.

Minaret Station is home to a wide variety of native wildlife, including the kea, New Zealand’s alpine parrot, and colourful alpine flora. Guests may encounter red deer or explore landscapes filled with unique flora like the mountain buttercup while on guided nature walks. Nestled on the western shores of Lake Wanaka and accessible only by boat or by helicopter, the 50,000 acre property acts as the heart and staging point of the family business.
