Mahoe Cabin – Waikato

  • Unique
  • Ultimate get away
  • Outdoor bath
  • Forest retreat

Mahoe Cabin is located in the Waikato, 1 hour and 35 minutes from Auckland City, or 35 minutes from Hamilton City. It’s set on a 27 acre protected bush block, complete with wetlands, and beautiful native trees. Waikato is renowned for its lush landscapes and the mighty Waikato River, offering diverse outdoor activities and attractions that draw visitors from near and far year-round. Visitors can explore rich Maori heritage in Waikato, visiting sites of cultural significance and learning about the traditions and stories that shape the region’s identity.

Staying in a cabin is a fantastic alternative to canopy camping, and is still considering “glamping.”

The beautiful bush and wetland setting, Nordic spruce timber lining, beautiful linens, outdoor fire and pizza oven, outdoor bath AND shower (as well as indoor bathroom) are just a few of the things we love about this spot! The area is home to abundant wildlife, including tui and kereru. Native trees like rimu and kahikatea offer a glimpse into New Zealand’s natural history. Mahoe Cabin integrates eco-friendly initiatives, with solar power and waste reduction systems, enhancing the conservation of the stunning natural environment it inhabits.
