Al Volo Bar, Pizzeria and Cucina has traditional Wood Fired Handmade Pizza. Established in 2004, Al Volo is an Italian family run authentic Bar, Pizzeria and Cucina (kitchen) based at the top of Mt Eden Rd – opposite Galbraith’s Ale House and not far from Symonds St.

Since 2004, Al Volo has become a beloved spot for pizza enthusiasts, with its warm family atmosphere and dedication to authentic Italian flavours.

Pizza’s are made using to a 150 year old family recipe in a traditional Neapolitan wood fired oven. The pizza-making process at Al Volo involves dough hand-stretched to perfection and baked in a traditional wood-fired oven, capturing the true essence of Neapolitan pizza. But they don’t just do Pizza there’s also delicious pasta’s, salads and Picolli Piatti (small plates) as well as an insta worthy Antipasto Platter.

Al Volo uses only the finest imported Italian meats, and locally hand made mozzarella (made according to traditional methods), fresh locally grown produce and the very best 00 Neapolitan Flour.
