The Wine Station is Marlborough’s leading wine and food experience. Located in a newly renovated 1906 heritage building, the Blenheim Railway Station.
The building, originally functioning as a key transport hub, showcases Edwardian architecture and holds cultural significance within Marlborough. Its blend of history and modern design enhances the visitor experience.
At the core of The Wine Station concept is the ability to showcase an incredible variety of 80 premium wines from Marlborough.
Marlborough is renowned for producing world-class wines, particularly its distinctive Sauvignon Blanc. The region enjoys a climate perfect for various grape varieties, contributing to its prestigious reputation.
Visitors can sample a tasting, a half or a full glass of wine. Vineyards without cellar doors also have the opportunity to present their wines in a satellite cellar door location they can call their own. It is an opportunity to try wines that you might not otherwise have access to sample in a convenient, upmarket location.
Wine tastings are given using specialised dispensing machines imported from Italy.
These innovative machines preserve the wine’s quality while ensuring precise pours for each tasting. This technology enhances the tasting experience by maintaining the wine’s original flavours and aromas.
The Wine Station also offers curated food pairings, enriching the tasting adventure. Visitors can enjoy expertly selected local cheeses and delicacies complementing each wine.
